The Arclight Residence
Architectural Design by Olson & Partners (2024)
Architectural Manifesto
A structural tour-de-force perched above Benedict Canyon, The Arclight Residence demonstrates the poetic potential of architectural concrete when counterbalanced by expansive thermal glass and native landscaping.
Designed for an esteemed art collector, the entry progression begins along a private gated motor court flanked by water reflections and monolithic stone portals. The main pavilion soars with fourteen-foot ceilings, anchored by an open-hearth fireplace cast directly into the concrete wall.
Motorized frameless glass sliders retract completely into hidden pockets, extending the great room onto a 2,500-square-foot Brazilian ipe deck and an infinity edge pool suspended dramatically over the canyon slope.
